Portrait of Zain Latif, Founder & CEO of TLG Capital
Zain Latif London · Frontier Markets

Zain Latif is the Founder & CEO of TLG Capital, an award-winning investment holding company he co-founded in 2009 to back the businesses powering frontier economies across Africa and Asia.

A prodigious talent, Zain earned a Master’s in Finance from Cass Business School at just nineteen. He went on to become an Executive Director at Goldman Sachs in its New Markets division, focused on Sub-Saharan Africa — arriving from Merrill Lynch and, before that, HSBC, where he spearheaded a widely-reported, inaugural debt/equity hybrid structure for a leading Nigerian institution.

Today he is one of the most distinctive voices in frontier finance — an investor, board member and sought-after speaker championing the entrepreneurs and SMEs that represent the next trillion-dollar growth story.
